Lauren began dancing at the age of 2  at Miss Donna's School of Dance in Charlotte, NC. She moved to the Mt Pleasant area and began her training under the instruction of Terry Earnhardt (previous owner and founder of Dance Trap) in 1987.  She studied Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics, Lyrical and was also a Trapette for 4 years.  She went on to further her dance instruction at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she minored in dance and majored in psychology, specializing in child psychology.  She taught at Dance Trap for 2 years before purchasing it in June of 1998.  She feels very blessed to have combined her passion for dance with her love for children as a career.  Lauren currently resides in the Mt. Pleasant area with her husband, Jim and 2 daughters, Ragan (10) and Anna Claire (8).     



Mindy began her dance training at the age of 3 at Miss Donna's School of Dance in Charlotte, NC and later moved to Dance Trap where she studied  Tap, Jazz, Pointe and Acrobatics.  She has coached a Pop Warner cheerleading squad and has taught Acrobatics, Tap and Ballet  for Dance Trap during the past 7 years. She is currently teaching Acrobatics levels 1-3 and assisting in levels 4 & 5. Mindy resides in Locust with her husband, Trent and two children, Bailey (9) and Tessa (8).



Jenny Franz Grice is originally from Columbia, South Carolina. She began dancing at the age of 4 at Southern Strutt Dance Studio. She attended Columbia College on a dance scholarship, but decided to pursue dance professionally. Jenny spent three years entertaining for Paramount Parks. She did four main stage shows in three years. One of which was choreographed by Barry Lather. She taught for NCA Danz for three years and at several dance studios in North and South Carolina for the past 15 years. Jenny has a BS degree in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Visual and Performing Arts from UNCC. She taught Kindergarten and First Grade for Cabarrus County School for nine years before having her son. Her choreography has won numerous overall awards and she has received Star Systems “Top Teacher Award” many times.  Jenny has recently moved to the Mt Pleasant/Concord area with her husband David and son Knox (2) and is very excited to bring her knowledge of dance and performance to Dance Trap.

Nikki danced all through her childhood and has taught Zumba for two years. She works full time as a Medical Assistant at Cabarrus ObGyn and has been there for 7 years.  She lives in Salisbury with her husband Jason. She has 1 cat named Sophie.  Nikki is full of energy, LOVES TO DANCE and is currently teaching Zumba Fitness.
