Dance Trap Policies
TUITION– May be paid by semester in September and January or by monthly auto draft on the first of each month. Semester tuition is non-refundable. A $10 late charge will be applied to your account if tuition is not paid by the 15th of each month. Non-payment of tuition for 2 consecutive months will result in suspension of dance privileges.
WITHDRAWAL- If your student is planning on withdrawing from a class, you will need to fill out a withdrawal form that you can get from our office staff. You are responsible for any balances that accrue before the withdrawal form is filled out. For auto draft accounts, a 30 day notice is required to stop the draft.
NEWSLETTER- Will be handed out to students the first week of each month for that month. This is sometimes our ONLY communication with parents. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you read each month to stay informed of studio happenings. This year we will be e-mailing newsletters to all those that have access to a computer. Please let us know if you would like your newsletter e-mailed to you.
ATTIRE- Leotard, tights and dance shoes - ABSOLUTELY NO STREET CLOTHES OR SHOES!! All students are expected to be dressed in dance attire for each class. Hair should be pulled away from face. Names should be in all shoes and dancewear. If you don’t do this, we will. Please take time to do this.
SCHEDULE- The studio will not necessarily close for inclement weather. However, if schools are dismissed early for inclement weather, we will NOT have classes that afternoon or evening. If in doubt, call the studio for a recording on whether classes will be held or not. Holiday dates will be posted in the lobby and included in the monthly newsletter. WE DO NOT CLOSE FOR TEACHER WORKDAYS!!
INSURANCE– Our studio does not carry medical insurance for its’ students. It is required that all dance students be covered by their own family insurance policies and if injury occurs, it is understood that the students own policy is your only source of reimbursement.
ATTENDANCE- Attendance is taken at each class and recognition is given at the recital for perfect attendance. Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. There will be no more than three (3) make up classes allowed per year and ONLY FOR SICKNESS! No make-up classes will be allowed after March 1. Any student entering class more than ten (10) minutes after class begins will be asked to sit and observe that class. Please make every effort to have your child at every class and on time. Classes will begin and end promptly as scheduled.
PARENT OBSERVATION DAYS- Parents observation days will be the first week in December and the first week in April. Observing the class at other times without Miss Lauren’s permission is not allowed as this is very distracting to the students and teachers. Small children MUST be on their parent’s lap and stay seated and quiet. We appreciate your cooperation in this.
CABARRUS COUNTY CHRISTMAS PARADE– Both studios (Concord & Mt. Pleasant locations) will participate in the CC Christmas Parade. The parade, in the past, is held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. All students are encouraged to participate in this exciting event. There will be a $15.00 parade fee. All participating students must wear a shirt with our studio logo and black pants. Orders for shirts will be taken in early October. There will be NO refunds given after sign-up. There will be two (2) mandatory practices as we will be performing a moving dance routine. Those times will be posted at a later date.
RECITAL- Recital dates will be posted at a later date. DRESS REHEARSAL IS MANDATORY FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE RECITAL. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Students should be dropped off in the dressing rooms just as they are for the recital. Dress Rehearsal is a great time to videotape.
PICTURES- Dates for pictures will be in the newsletter within the next few months so that you can plan accordingly.
GENERAL- Please inform our office staff of any address or phone number changes during the year.
- Please do not drop your child off more than 15 minutes early for their class and be prompt in picking them up.

- Plaques will be given to students during the recital who have completed 5, 10, and 15 years of dance. These years must be completed at one of our studio locations.
- ALL BALANCES MUST BE PAID IN FULL THE FIRST OF JUNE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RECITAL. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
